The Korean Baby is travelling to Singapore

I am excited to announce that we will be travelling to Singapore on 20th July 2013.
Like the previous years, we are consolidating orders and shipping cargoes back so we will still need to charge up to 50% of the original shipping fee, depending on the weight and bulk of your item.

Once we arrive in Singapore, we ship out the orders by registered mail via Sing Post but for bulky items, we will arrange for meet-ups and deliver personally.

You can order anything from our website to custom orders (anything from Korea).

Closing date for order placement is 10th July 2013.

Newly released Sept 2012 - Tayo moving carpark play set

Whenever I watched Tayo with my kids, I always wished they produced the carpark. You know the carpark where Tayo and his friends love playing in? If you'd watch the DVD, you will know what I am referring to. :)

Now it's finally here - fresh from the oven!

Personally I feel the carpark is more fun than the garage because it has the elevator, slope and all those stuff. I know kids love toys that can move like these because I am still a kid inside me!

Win a US$20 shopping voucher with us!

Hello Everyone,

I just realised I haven't blogged since Jan 2012 and it's now already March! I have been busy with our store - orders, packaging, shipping. Towards the end of last year, with the grace of God, we experienced a great increase in our sales and that's why I have no time to blog. But I thought I should post something so the 1st post you see when you check into our blog is not the one dated Jan ^^.

Here's a short one for now. Please come and tag yourselves on our facebook picture. When we reach 1000 fans, we will give out a shopping voucher to the random winner in the tag list. Have fun!

Happy New Year (our 1st newsletter)

Dear friends,

Happy New Year!
We wish everyone a prosperous and blessed 2012.

Along with the new year greetings, we are pleased to bring you good news! In our last newsletter we announced that we would be adjusting our shipping and handling fees in accordance with the increased shipping fees (Korea Post) that took place on 1st Oct 2011.

However, after reviewing the past months' sales and profits, we realised that even without adjusting our fees, we are managing very well. :) Therefore, we decided it will be better to maintain what we have so that more shoppers can enjoy international shopping. Not only that but in addition, we are upgrading to registered mail on our own account for most of the outgoing parcels (*see fine print).

When you get a shipping notification, you will see a tracking number and the website to track. If the link doesn't work automatically, please copy and paste the tracking number manually.

Last but not least, we want to thank everyone for the support that you have given to us in the year of 2011. Words can't express our gratitude - we wouldn't be here without you. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you again!

With warmest regards,
Jen Soo
Owner of The Korean Baby.

A peek into my work station 2011

It's been a long time since I blogged (other than listing new products).
Today I decided to share some pictures of how I have been working for 2011. :)

Almost everyday is the same in and out - packing packages, walking to the PO, updating excel spreadsheets & paperwork, making phone calls to suppliers, email responding, surfing for new items, planning and costing. Not to mention the duties of a full time mom and housewife!!

That's why I seldom get to do alot on our FB page or blog. But I thank God for providing all these!!

2011 has been a very good year for me and my family - work wise and health wise. We look forward to a blessed 2012 and will continue to work hard to bring quality products to everyone!

Merry Christmas and a BLESSED New Year!!!

A typical crazy day. These boxes were going out by EMS.

Regular mail for small packages. Mostly to the US. I have been using these soft vinyl mailing bags for years. They are great because they can contain irregular items especially the plush toys and yet they are so durable.

My favourite bags when I go to the PO. Thank God I am able to hang them on my son's stroller and survive the walk to the PO regardless of rain, snow or shine. But he is starting school March 2012 so I won't have the stroller to push around, meaning I have to carry them myself. =.=

For most items going out by regular airmail, we are upgrading to get a registration number at our own expense so if it gets lost or delayed, we can file for an official investigation with our local post office. Since this is not "registered parcel with priority" , some countries do not keep track of the transit details but if our customers come back saying they have not received, at least I can file for an official investigation with my PO based on the registration number.
